Compensation Policy and Procedures for Mentors
At Mentorship Village, we value your time, expertise, and dedication to shaping the next
generation of real estate investors. To ensure a smooth and transparent compensation process,
We have outlined the following policies regarding mentor payments and commissions.
How You Get Paid
As a mentor on Mentorship Village, you have the freedom to set your own rates for one-on-one mentorship sessions or monthly mentorship packages. Once your mentees sign up and make payments, our platform ensures that your payout is processed efficiently and securely.
Payment Process:
When a mentee books a session or subscribes to a package, the payment will be processed through our integrated payment provider (Stripe).
After the mentee makes a payment, you will receive your payout within 7 days via Stripe Connect.
You will receive an itemized receipt for each transaction, detailing the payment amount and any fees deducted.
Commission Structure
At Mentorship Village, we are committed to growing our community of mentors and mentees by providing marketing, administrative, and technological support. In return, we take a modest commission to keep the platform running smoothly while helping you expand your reach.
Commission Rate:
We apply a 10% commission on the total payment made by the mentee for each session or subscription. This commission covers the operational costs of the platform, including marketing to attract potential mentees, maintaining the platform, and offering you ongoing support.
Example:
If your session fee is $200, the mentee will pay this amount, and Mentorship Village will take a$20 commission. After small payment processing fees (e.g., Stripe fees), the remaining balance will be your payout. This structure allows you to retain the vast majority of your earnings, while contributing to the sustainability and growth of the platform.
Flexible Payment Options for Mentees
We understand that mentees may have different preferences when it comes to payment. To accommodate this, mentees can choose between:
One-off sessions for immediate guidance
Monthly subscriptions for ongoing mentorship and accountability.
Regardless of the option selected, you will be compensated in the same, timely manner.
Payment Providers
Mentorship Village partners with Stripe to handle all transactions, ensuring that both mentors and mentees experience secure and reliable payments. Stripe’s robust payment platform is trusted globally and offers a transparent breakdown of fees, including our commission and any third-party processing fees.
What Happens If a Payment Fails?
Occasionally, a payment may fail due to insufficient funds, incorrect payment details, or other reasons.
In such cases:
Mentorship Village will notify you and the mentee.
We will attempt to resolve the issue and reprocess the payment.
You will not be responsible for any service until payment has been successfully processed.
Taxes and Compliance
As a mentor, you are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes associated with your income from Mentorship Village. We encourage you to consult a tax professional to ensure compliance with local tax laws. Mentorship Village will provide you with the necessary transaction records to assist with your tax filings.
